Habana's Boardwalk

My wife and I made our first time visit last year (Jun 10, 2017) for lunch. We were in Tallahassee for a short FL vacation. The restaurant wasn't crowded which, after eating our meal, was was a big surprise. My wife ordered the Cubano which is a traditional Cuban with lettuce, tomato and onion. I forget the name of the sandwich I ordered, but it was the traditional Cuban plus the addition of ham croquettes on the sandwich. AWESOME! Lunch was fantastic, my only regret is that we are back home now and won't be able to try dinner until the next time we happen to visit Tallahassee. If you are reading this, go ahead and try em out. At a minimum they have good sammiches!Please give me a thumbs up "like" for this review... Thanks!

Great deal on Mondays: 20% off if you dine in! Food is pretty tasty for Cuban in Tallahassee and the servings are enough to fill you up. Chill atmosphere and super nice staff.

Was shown this place by a Cuban friend of mine, ever since it has become a Sunday tradition. Never a bad experience here, their coffee and espresso is great.

Good food. This is a cute, authentic, Cuban restaurant tucked in Tallahassee. I recommend trying it out! Being from South Florida, it tasted a lot like home. Lol.

The wait is the only thing I could complain about. I must mention that it was lunch time and the place with packed. I waited about 25 minutes for my food but it was worth the wait. I had the beef empanadas, sweet plantains, and black beans and rice. The cilantro creme was delicious. My waiter was super friendly. I plan to go back on my next cheat day, lol.

We did not know these guys were here! We have been searching for great Cuban food and this is it! 💗

Yum the food was great our waiter was Manuel he was good but would have got a better tip if he refilled my coffee.

A bit salty for my taste, but good service. Wish the music would have been more in line with the ambiance of Cuba.

Was in town on business and a coworker picked this spot because it was close to the office. The place is clean and the service was good, but... First, I only wanted vegetables and salad instead of rice and beans or maduros (I had a choice of two sides). I was never told that if I got the vegetables and the salad, the salad would be an extra charge. Second, we had to explain to our server the difference between a cortadito, cafecito, and a colada.I thought my macitas de cerdo were a little overcooked. The food was ok, though. I wouldn't necessarily make this a go-to spot for me.

This place is great. Cafe con leche that you have to experience. Croquettes are to die for. Great place to meet friends for lunch.

The best, most legit Cuban food in town, run by sweet local owners who are usually on site and who treat everyone like family. We are diehard regulars and will never eat Cuban food anywhere else! Prices are honest and the food is perfect every time.

We wanted something easy (we have a 4 year old) and fairly quick but not fast food. This place did not disappoint. The food was excellent, the service swift and attentive and I will definitely be back. My husband had the thin fried steak, I had the pulled pork with onions. My granddaughter had rice, beans and plantains. She actually ate most of her food, had some of my pork and loved her Papa's steak. I highly recommend this restaurant if your sick of cooking but don't want junk!

My first time here. The seafood gumbo was really good. I will be back to buy their sausages.

Fantastic cuban cuisine at low price? Habana's Boardwalk has it and more. I recommend the flan, it's delicious.

I've been a regular at the boardwalk for a long time the food and service. The food is authentic and very enjoyable. The Cuban and other sandwitches are tasty and if you are looking for a tasty treat order one of the dinners.

Good authentic Latin food. Sometimes the rice and pork is a little too dry, but still good.

Saw this spot on my way to another restaurant, and made a mental note to revert the next day! Our orders included, cafe con leche, 2 orders of shrimp in wine sauce with arroz moro, tostenes and vegetales mixtos, pollo al la plancha con arroz blanco and grouper with moro and tostones y 1 empanada de pollo. The food was EXCELLENT! The music was great and the service on point! Will 100% return when we are back in town on move in day!

Great local place with huge serving sizes . Service was excellent and the orders came fast . Very authentic Cuban food . The place is simple and needs remodeling but everything else was good. Prices very reasonable as well .

Had lunch here for the first time and it was delicious. I had the Chipotle pork chops that were on special; with double mixed veggies on the side. Very friendly service and good speed with lunch rush. I am impressed.

Growing up in Miami and my stepfather being Cuban we definitely grew up eating Cuban food so I know when I say that the food is good, it's more of a modern spin on it but it does have the flavor. It's not easy finding Cuban restaurants so far north but it is truly worth the trip. Oh and the prices are fantastic, the only thing that I didn't like was that all the music that they were play was Mexican music, some Salsa music would have done just fine 😁

I arrive to my location and the female told me I can seat anywhere. I ordered las masitas with moro rice and yellow plaintains.After my food arrive never saw back the waitress. The masitas needed seasoning. The rice was so-so. You cant mess with yellow plantaibs.A male waitress ask me if everything was ok and let him know about the taste on las masitas. He stated they have a new cook ummmm.Just asked for my check. If you want to run a hispanic Cuban restaurant with typical food then season the food accordingly. If I wanted to eat plain food I would have gone to McDonald's.

Was a lucky find for me. Best Cubano food since I left Miami 26 years ago.

Disappointing. We got their early for lunch but still had a considerable wait for our food. Our sides were cold and nothing to write home about either. My Chicken Milenesa was overcooked, almost burnt. My wife's beef dish was better. Honestly felt like a wasted lunch date.

The boiled yucca is my comfort food! Delicious 👌 I also love that they have wifi and outlets which make it a great spot to meet with my real estate customers to talk about Tallahassee homes!
